In love with paper flowers..

Greetings!!! I got lot of paper flowers lingering into my stash. Every time I visit a craft store, these colorful flowers just grab my attention, and I end up collecting more.  Well I figured out I had lot of stuff not being used LOL. Used these paper flowers with some metal and resin embellishments. And the outcome really was more than enough to charge my batteries. Here are some pictures.        Thanks for stopping by :)

Art Journal - So many Books, So little time

Hi all, a very good morning Today I am sharing another art journal layout inspired by Vicky's  Art journal page: Reading . I loved the way she made a stack of books using card stock and distress inks. I chose different quote for art journal and accordingly made changes in elements. I decided to add clock in background. I stamped clock numbers on white cardstock using Ranger archival ink and then coloured it with Artistry ink - Blue Moon I made clock hands from white card stock and coloured them with Artistry ink - dark Umber. It was fun. To add more fun to this page I added wooden owl sitting on the top of book stack. Sharing some more pictures of final layout. Thank you for stopping by :)

Mixed media Album cover

Watching mixed media art tutorial videos is one of my favorite activities. Recently I came across Such a Pretty Mess . Since then I have been visiting this blog regularly. I wanted to make a travel journal for my recent trip. So accordingly i was choosing elements and themes for my journal. I pulled out some of the very old products which were still lingering in my stash, plus a few from my trash accessories like pearl pendant and even some old metal keys. I bought some wooden embellishments, card stock, texture paste and some stencils. So I had this beautiful chipboard cover. I know it is too pretty to modify. But seriously i had no option :D Anyways, here are some of the wooden embellishments I got from local store. In an excitement I used my new stencils and camel texture paste and realized it is not so easy to apply with old credit card. But then I tried it for several times on some trash paper and voila!! I was ready to start working on my piece of art. lolz
