Creative Weekends

Greetings!!!     I love reading books. Thought it would be fun to create vintage themed mini book.      Created this little 1' by 1'5" book. Book cover and pages all are made up of paper and glue.         Here are some pictures.           Made one more steampunk themed piece.            Rust effect in the frame is added using embossing powder with modelling paste.     Thank you for stopping by :)    

Greetings!!! Guess I am getting addicted to creating mixed media projects. Got lot of trinkets, paper flowers in my stash. Had been waiting to use them in new projects.  Dashed into craft store and picked up some canvases.  Using more stencils. Added more texture using bandage cloth . Greetings!!! Made new canvas from many discarded materials.  You will see keychain, paint brushes, old watches, used ink pads, watch straps, bottle caps. There are few purchased embellishments too like trinkets, filigree flower, paper flowers, wooden numbers     Lot of texture added using stencils and old magazine papers.  I have used Fevicryl acrylic colours to         paint canvas.      Thank you for stopping by.

Greetings!!! I would like to share my new experiment with altering old frames.I pulled out some of the very old products from my stash, plus a few from here and there. I was trying to find inspiration since many days and finally I found one. I have added some wooden embellishments too. I did not have black gesso, so i added black acrylic with Camel texture white and then gave my frame couple of coats. Here are some pictures of the frame before i started painting. When it dried, I added Fevicryl colurs - Pearl Gold, Green and some blue shades. Here are some pictures of final layout. Thank you so much for stopping by :)
